Question on Changing Calories and Macros

For the last two weeks, I have been trying to eat around 1600 calories (emphasis on trying).
I originally wanted to do this so my body would be use to something higher than 1400 which I wasn't hitting when I was trying to (more like 1200s or completely busting). I also thought this would help my body not freak out when I added exercise back into my life.

Is it reasonable to move my goal down to 1500 range after two weeks or would my body need more time to get use to the higher calorie range?

I am 5ft2in, female, 238 lbs.
I have added light exercise with the calorie increase ( I do not log exercise anymore).
My diary is also sporadic.
I use a food scale when I log ( usually by grams or ounces).

The last time I had my base rate checked by machine, it stated that my base calories is 1446.

Thank you all in advance for your help and advice.

Using your given stats you could eat anything under 2100 and lose weight with no exercise. Scoobys calc. 1600 would be roughly a lb a week.

Focus on not having sporadic logging.
