Hello, New Here

I'm a 44 year old women, from Yorkshire, England. My first diet was as an obese toddler, and my weight has yo-yoed all my life. Since I was diagnosed with an underactive thyroid the weight has slowly been piling on, despite being active and following a healthy diet. I've reached a point where I'm disgusted with myself, and I'm trying to do something about it.

I usually eat a plant based diet, plus oily fish and occasional egg, but I'm trying shakes to kick-start weight loss. I'm hoping that'll give me the motivation to stick with it and get back to a healthy weight.

Any advice, support and motivation will be very welcome!

My fitness pal app ,has been helping me . The diary helps me keep on track. I'm trying to stay under 1300 calories. It helps to think of something positive about your body. Example- my legs are strong! It works for me when I start getting into , negative head space, which I struggle with as much as my weight. Best of luck. P.s the recipe so on this app are good. I had the Mexican casserole last night, yum
