So, I know there isn't one size fits all for this issue. I don't have anything good going on my side (bad genes when it comes to skin...not a lot of elasticity. Prone to stretch marks. Lost a good chunk of weight too quickly. Etc)
However, I'm looking for do's and dont's. Success stories and failed attempts. Just any and all info and advice I can get.

Nothing you can do to avoid stretch marks. I, figuratively, tried them all. I am in between sessions for fraxel laser resurfacing to get rid of them and I noticed a small difference after the first session.0

I'm not worried about stretch marks. It's the loose skin/fat I'm trying to figure out how to reduce if possible. I've already got the damage 2 kids, gained 90 lbs with first and 87 with 2nd. Damage has been done. And yes all creams lotions and oils are a waste of $. Any doc will tell ya that0

Outside of surgery, once the damage has been done, the only thing you can do is wait for a few years (1+ definitely, quite possibly 2-3) to see how much it will shrink. How much it shrinks is dependent on how big you were, how long you were big, genetics, age, and how much yo-yoing you did weight-wise.
Creams, wraps, lifting weights, losing slowly, etc. do not help shrink up skin. Creams will keep your skin moisturized. Wraps will help dehydrate the area and may tighten it up temporarily but not permanently. Lifting weights will make you stronger and will help your physique and give you something to obsess over and think about. Losing weight slowly will help minimize how much your skin shrinkage rate outpaces your fat loss rate. But none of these things will prevent loose skin or increase its shrinkage.1 -
Surgery may be an option. If it causes you rashes or some other negative effect on your health insurance may cover some of it.0
