Calorie Allowance reset time

I needed to ask this because of my nightshift schedule. I set-up my daily planner from 7am breakfast time to 12 midnight night shift lunch so that it won't be too confusing whenever i go back to regular day schedule (weekends).

However, there are times when I eat small malls in between 12 midnight and my 7am breakfast. Should that still count toward my previous day's allowance or can I add it to my 7am breakfast (note that i usually workout/sleep 1 hr after a light breakfast meal and wake up around 4-5pm).

I'm just worried that I might be going over my calorie limit by having such a snack specially if my previous day is almost at calorie goal.

You should have your meal and snacks set up for times between your sleep cycles regardless of what "day" it is for the rest of the world.

It might be helpful for you if you thought of your weeks as opposed to your days. Plot out your daily goal and weekly goal and just make sure you stay within your limits for the week.

Also a night-shifter. I found it helpful to set up my diary from midnight-midnight. Rather than breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks I have it set up as "12a-6a" "6a-12p" "12p-6p", and "6p-12a". Takes all the confusion out of "is this a snack or lunch or part of breakfast or still dinner". It's weird eating lunch at 3a. This makes it easy to track.
