So I just downloaded an app that tracks water intake and buzzes to remind you to drink water. My question is can I count unsweetened green tea that I brew myself as water? I literally put nothing in my tea. What about Starbucks iced green tea, also unsweetened. I don't drink coffee or soda or juice or anything else-just water and hot and cold tea.

anybody ever use a water tracking app? thoughts??

thanks!
dana

There used to be an argument that anything with caffeine (which green tea does have) didn't count because it's a diuretic...but I think that's been debunked now

Pretty sure anything but alcohol counts as water. I find I feel best drinking mostly water, coffee and unsweetened tea. Too much diet or regular soda and it just throws so much off, healthwise. YMMV of course.

But short answer: yes. You're good :)
