YES--I use turkey more than ground beef now. I get Walmarts Italian seasoned ground turkey and use it in everything, especially Italian dishes. But the best is turkey burgers--if yours is plain, add 1 tb Italian seasoning, one diced red onion, 1 tb parsley mix well and divide into either 4 or 6 patties--depending on what you eat. I bake mine at 325 for 30 minutes. NOW--if you want to use it in other dishes---one thing you MUST do is stir and stir and stir and STIR--you do NOT want big chunks of meat. The chunks leave the turkey taste in the dish--small pieces take on the flavor of the dish.

A fantastic place for ground turkey recipes is Skinnytaste.com. I've made the turkey zucchini burgers, as well as the turkey meatloaf, and my entire family loved them. She has lots of other recipes for it too, that I plan to try.

You can use ground turkey in any recipe that calls for ground beef.

Jaime Eason has a great turkey meatloaf recipe. They are cooked in muffin tins and can be frozen and reheated as needed. Very convenient.

Ground turkey can get dry without some veggies in it. I like to whir a bag of fresh spinach in the food processor and combine that with the ground turkey. Adds moisture and all the good aspects of spinach without much taste. It does make the color a little odder when cooked.

Make meatballs out of the whole three pounds, cook them in the oven, and then throw them in the freezer. You can take out however many you want to eat and nuke 'em for instant hot meatballs.

Here are some ground turkey recipes of mine:

We're currently pretty obsessed with this turkey burger salad:

If you're lazy like I am, you can just cook the meat without forming patties since you're going to crumble it anyway. The pub sauce is excellent, and you can easily substitute yogurt for some of the mayo to save calories (I do 5 tablespoons mayo, 3 tablespoons Greek yogurt).

And if you want to make it really good, crumble some bacon on top.

My version is 340 calories per serving, 14g carbs, 22g protein. I log the blue cheese separately.

I love ground turkey! As burgers, in chili (with tons of different beans & veggies of your choice), and one of my favorites: spaghetti squash with turkey meatballs & marinara! Yum!
