MyFitnessPal will not allow you to set a goal to lose 3 pounds per week. That rate is inappropriate for most people. To reach that your deficit would have to be 1500 calories per day. Most women burn 1800-2200 calories per day. Meaning you would be setting your calories too far below 1200 to be considered safe.6 -

With only 30 pounds to LOSE, you can LOSE no more than 1 pound per week, and that's only initially; as you LOSE weight, your body uses less energy and you will LOSE more slowly, so that after some time your loss will be around 1/2 pound per week. That's normal, healthy and realistic. Set up your calorie goal to reflect this, and it will be so much easier.2
