Olanzapine and weight gain

Hi I've joined fitness pal today in an attempt to lose two stone. I have been taking Olanzapine since Oct 2015, one of the main side effects is weight gain. I have put on two and a half stone in 7 months. Does anyone else out there suffer from the same side effect. Great to get on here and get started with a healthy lifestyle.

    I gained 30 pounds after a year on Seroquel. I've lost almost all of it though.

    I was on an olanzapine drug study when I was in treatment for anorexia. Boy did it take away my desire to exercise and made me ravenous! It didn't work because I was badly in the anorexia mindset but I totally see how people gain on it.

    I gained almost half my weight - about 40 lbs - on it (1500mg dose) over the course of a year but I had a bad case of "I don't give a f'" too that I'm certain contributed

    i am on seroquel, hydroxyzine, zoloft. i have gained a huge amount of weight. i had lost 16 lbs, then got on seroquel and managed to eat my way up to over 190 lbs. NEVER been this heavy in my life, INCLUDING when i was 8 months pregnant!!!! i have no choice in taking Sero, it's a must for me. so today i started anew and my goal is to get off every single pound. feel free to add me as a friend.
