Im always over on my sugar!

So I've only started tracking my food intake here for the last week (my diary is open for those interested) but my sugar levels are always over. A big part of this is due to my love of mandarin oranges (and pink lady apples) which seem to be high in sugar which prior to using this site I hadnt considered. Is it ok that I usually go over sugar if Im under on everything else? I mean I really enjoy fruit and until september I wont be regularly at the gym so Im using fruit as lunch to meet my calorie goals. Should I be concerned about it? I usually have 2 apples and anywhere between 3-6 organges per day. Is there a difference between sugar from fruit as opposed to sweets?

Fruit is perfectly fine to eat, it's a Complex carb. I wouldn't worry about sugar unless you're specifically suppose to under direction from your physician. If you want to stay healthy, just don't eat refined sugars, unfortunately MFP doesn't know the difference.

When you log your food, if it has sugar in it, it goes into the sugar area. None of those fats, proteins, or carbs are "limits" they are suggestions, don't sweat it!

I also don't track my sugars anymore. If its from the right stuff and you don't go crazy on the sweets, I don't feel that its something that needs to be tracked that closely :)

I often wonder the same however it seems that as long as it's coming from like fruit and dairy and these things that are naturally high in sugar but if it's mostly coming from things that have a lot of added sugar then you should try to cut that down.

I was just getting ready to post this exact concern. Like today I went over 60ish some on my sugar. I had a bunch of fruit today though and virtually everything has some sugar in it, right? I had two dove chocolates and a fudgesicle, but don't do that everyday. thanks for posting this concern as well and thanks for those that answered.
