Help- calories!!

Hi so I had my second Bub 16 months ago and need to lose about 15kg. Should I start of trying to do 1200 cals a day? I've tried so many "diets" and get so overwhelmed with how many cals to eat and where to start! Any help would be appreciated:) one website says I should be consuming like 1800 to 2000 but that to me sounds like too much then majority says 1200.

    Eat what MFP says you should eat :) Its designed to help you lose weight at the rate you want too, which is either ".5 lbs a week, 1 lb a week or 2 lbs a week." Depending on how far or close you are to your goal weight, if you are close to it, I would aim for .5-1 lb a week, if you are very far from your goal, 50+ lbs, you can try for 2 lbs a week loss. :)

    It all depends on if you intend to exercise and how intense. 1200 isn't enough if you plan to exercise 30 minutes a day. But, if you don't intend to exercise yet (though I highly recommend that you do, at least three times a week), 1200 will likely put you in a calorie deficit. If I were you, I would start out with what's recommended based on your height, weight and current activity level, try that for a few weeks, then adjust if you're not seeing a difference. Good luck!

    Hi I'm doing 3x boot camps a week and some walking. I've put lightly active in my profile? I dropped my Goal to 0.8kg a week and it's given me 1450 cals which is a bit easier than 1200:)

    I'm in almost the exact same boat. The monkey is 15 months, I've lost 18 and I've got 30ish pounds to go. Good luck!
