Need to build muscle/loss fat

How much protein should a women 140 pounds consume in one day to build muscle . Thanks in advance.

    80-110 will do you just fine

    I take in 1 gram per lb of body weight, but it really depends on the person. You can always up your protein if you need to.

    It's 1g per lb of lean body mass.. not body weight.


    You should also realize that its not very easy to gain new muscle while in a deficit. Yes, you can gain a little, but certainly not at the rate of fat loss. Also, building muscle is more than just protein. You also need a progressive resistance program and have a moderate deficit (10-15% below TDEE).
