Any tips on how to lose inches around the waist and chest?

If you specifically want to lose inches, not weight, you could try recomping. That means eating at/around maintenance and following a progressive resistance training program, such as lifting weights or bodyweight work. The goal of a recomp is to burn fat while building muscle. If successful, your weight stays pretty much the same while your body composition (i.e., muscle and fat ratios) change for the better.2

My understanding is the process of losing weight and inches is the same. I don't think you can target which you want to lose.0

You can't spot reduce. I suggest following either the recomp advice in the first response or cutting your calories to lose fat.0

30 day shred or ripped in 30 to lose inches if you're not used to working out. Or similar type of high intensity interval training using weights.0

If it fit you perfectly at Christmas-you just have to lose the weight you put on since then.
So log your calories, eat at or just under your allowance
Exercise some.
You gained in 5 months, you can take it over in less
But seriously are you pregnant?0 -
I just finished 2 months of 22 Minute Hard Corps. I lost 5 pounds and 7.25 inches. I was actually bummed that the scale was barely moving until I got out the measuring tape yesterday and compared before/after photos.0

Eek! Not pregnant meritage4...at least not as of last month.
Thanks guys, I guess I just wanted to make sure I was on the right track. I'll keep up with the calorie counting and intensify/diversify the exercise routines.
Thank you all!0
