Vegan diets are hard!

Hey all! I've been on a vegan diet for about 2 months now. Towards these past couple weeks I've really been feeling rather bummed, energy wise and just overall. I have a medical condition that gives me a protein deficiency, which basically means no meat, no fish, no chicken, or anything too high in protein as my body cannot process it properly...which means vegan diet! But I feel as though I have put a strict label on myself that I HAVE to eat ONLY vegan food and it's so difficult when I do not have access to mainly vegan food in my household. Obviously, I will continue to eat as healthy as possible with tons of fruits and veggies, but lately it has been difficult when I feel as though I am restricting myself from foods I ate before which are also relatively healthy. It's also extremely discouraging when going out to eat, visiting family, traveling, etc. I hate the strict label!!! Might be re-evaluating my dieting habits soon.

    Tofu, beans and nuts.
Look up recipes for various bean soups, they are delicious. White bean soups, Veggie chilli, Indian garbanzo bean soups.
Have you tried the veggie burgers or "Chik Pattys" vegan "chicken patties" .
What about black bean tacos w a cabbage slaw.

Hey there! I've been vegan for a couple months now, and the only advice I can give is try to stick with it. I know it can feel retrictive, but a lot of yummy energy packed food can be made vegan. Also, if you are eating a lot of vegan substitutions (like frozen meals, certain vegan meats, or a lot of processed vegan food) it can keep you from feeling your best as that food is usually high fat and very low carb which can make you feel sluggish. Maybe try eating high carb foods like fruits, veggies, and grains as your main food staples.
