When people tell you it isn't appropriate for your height, are they explaining why they say that?

As a 5'1 woman who has lost her weight and maintained long term-

What is reasonable for your height, or any height, is to set your calorie goal in MFP to a reasonable deficit for your activity level, and eat to that calorie goal.
With the amount you wish to lose, and your current weight .5 lbs a week is a reasonable goal.

Exercise will improve your health. Eat back 50-75% of those calories, or the percentage it takes to achieve your loss.
Eating back exercise calories is to fuel your exercise and prevent lethargy in daily life.

    Cheers, h.

Is Ripped in 30 an exercise program? Why would your height prevent you from being able to do that?

Is 8 stone 6 your goal weight or your current weight?

You will see bigger changes in your body doing strength training with some HIIT cardio thrown in than just straight steady state cardio. But it all comes down to what you can enjoy and stick with. If you like cardio and you can do it and maintain a calorie deficit, then by all means do it. You will lose weight.

What "they" say isn't as important as what "you" want. You want to lose 14 pounds or more and you can achieve that through cardio or strength. I don't see how your height would be a detriment to your workout DVD. If you want to follow along with it you can as long as you are in a calorie deficit.
