Now that I'm not adding salt to my food I can taste the salt in canned baked beans.

Red Lobster . Walt's favorite shrimp 12 pcs. is 2270. Is it really necessary to the recipe?

That happens. Canned soup tastes like the ocean.
Some canned products have low sodium varieties otherwise I make my own.

I buy a can of baked beans and a can of pinto beans.
    Mix together.
With a package of red beans and rice, I add an extra can of beans and sometimes some extra instant brown rice.
With canned soup, I will throw in brown rice, corn, beans, tomatoes.
    Always extra onions and garlic.

Indeed. I try to get less than 1500 g of salt daily. It works out tha my 2 bread items are the 2 biggest sodium loads I get each day. After now 4 months of trying this, I'm able to delight in the completely bland home coked brown rice and white beans with No Salt rather than paprika and crushed red pepper to season it. I also can delight in a hot pickle often, which is it's own high sodium load.

When I go to the movies, I get popcorn without added butter--but the salt they add is overpowering and often ruins it for me.
