Different platforms have different choices in games, if you are a shoot em kill kinda guy, go with XBox, if you like more in depth games, go with PS4, they are pretty comparable, both charge for on line play, the XBox free games tend to be a little better, both typically release the high demand games. I have both and a Wii U, and all hand held in my home, and if I had to chose between them, I would go PS4.

Not really sure myself , I have PS4 but Xbox has more exclusives
Also I think Xbox Gold members get better deals than PSPlus members
I remember when I had 360 and I got deals on all kinds of awesome games , PS4 gives you these *kitten* games that have gotten bad reviews and they're like arcade which I'm not a fan of
I think PS4 graphics are little bit more realistic than Xbox One which I think look a little more cartoon. That's all I can offer there0 -
Thanks mixed comments ps4 seems more popular however I like the look of xbox0

I'll be honest here. It's all preference.
I own an xbox one. They release free games every month and there's backwards compatibility. I think most people would agree xbox has better exclusive releases, but I would buy a PS4 too. I think PS4 is awesome, I just dont own one.0 -
I personally found the ecosystem and UI of the xbox to be lacking, but then again, I didn't like the original, nor did I like the 360. Personally, I've always enjoyed the Playstation/Sony systems better, but that's just me. If you plan on playing online multiplayer, I'd say go with whatever system you have more friends on.
I also found the performance of the PS4 to be better, but that's subjective.0 -

Depends, do you like playing multilayer? If so, do you know more folk with an xbone or ps4?
If you're not too fussed with multilayer and don't have many friends on one specific console I'd say go for ps4.2 -
I have more friends with ps4 but I like xbox more0
-
Well if you like xbox more then that's answered your own question really hasn't it?0
-
Not really as my nephews will be using it and their friends have ps4 do I be selfish and get xbox or not0
-
Who is going to be using it more? If the answer is you then yes, hah0

PS4 HANDS DOWN !!!!!!! Everything about it is better.. better hardware from the get go, better network, no red ring of death, free games... the list goes on.0

pretty sure the xbone doesn't get the RROD but yeah... i'm sure whatever the OP chooses will be the right thing for him0

Neither, actually. A higher-end PC (Skylake processors) with one of the new Pascal-based GeForce (1070/1080) video cards and an Oculus Rift. Heck the video card by itself outguns PS4 or XBox One handily.2

If you get a ps4 add me0

The 1080 makes me drool. I have a GTX980 and that card is still an even bigger beast. Console peasants will never know the glory of PC though.0 -

PC gaming rigs will always out do consoles but that wasn't his original question..0 -
I've always been an xbox fan over playstation. Both are pretty comparible but the PS4 does have better hardware. For the average gamer, it's not very noticeable. I play my XBox One more because I like following their exclusive games, which have always been better in my opinion. Also, XBox seems to give away free games that are some of the top games each month, while I hadn't had the same experience with PS4. One of the options that does it for me on the XBox One is the Kinect that lets me voice operate my cable and apps without having to use a remote or the controllers. Very handy when I'm getting ready for work in the morning and I want to turn on the tv, go to a particular channel or catch up some more on the movie I didn't get to finish the night before. Also, XBox One allows me to video chat with friends and family while I'm playing games or do multiple tasks at once, like watch the basketball game while I'm playing a video game. If you're just interested in the console for gaming, go with the one that has the exclusives that you like or that most of your friends have that you play with. If you use it for more than that, get the XBox One with the Kinect and realize the XBox One's full potential.0
