I was wondering what you guys suggest my daily Carb intake should be.
I have a 1200 cal limit.
I am 5'2" and weigh 177 lbs.

TIA
Do you guys watch your carbs, or just watch your calorie intake?

For weight loss, I watch my calories.

For hunger and general health, I try to get enough fat & protein.

I let carbs fall where they may within those parameters.

Personally, I had success setting my goals based on this post: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/819055/setting-your-calorie-and-macro-targets/p1 But of course your mileage may vary.

I watch both for weight loss. I find it very difficult to lose weight without cutting carbs - I enjoy the appetite suppressing aspects of a lower carb diet. That being said, there is a huge range of carb macros you coukd use from 50+% carbs down to almost zero. I chose very low carb to help with insulin resistance and inflammatory levels while losing weight, and I've chosen to stay low carb after losing my weight because I feel better on a low carb diet.

Low carb is usually considered to be about 100g of carbs per day (up to 150g for more active people or larger people). That's usually under 30% of your calories.

    Good luck.

I do both. I have a calorie range I try to hit (no higher & no lower) and I also try to eat between 40 & 50% protein with my fat & carbs falling in the remaining percentages.

I used to just watch my calories, but I feel significantly more full now with fewer cravings by shifting my macro-nutrient intake toward more protein than before.

My macros are 45% carbs, so I just watch how much bread and pasta I eat.

With such a low calorie allowance would focus on essential protein and fat requirements first and let your remaining calories come from whatever suits you.

Would say that at 177lbs you could lose weight eating more than that, remember your goal is plus exercise calories.

As weight loss comes from calorie deficit then it would be odd to just count carbs and not calories.
I pay no heed to carbs totals at all (within my overall calorie goal) after protein and fat goals are reached and actually find starchy carbs the most filling of all the macros.

Pretty much what I would say. I concentrate on calories first, then protein and fiber.

But the 1200 is pre-exercise. If you exercise, you should probably be eating a few hundred more calories.
