Several times on here I've a book has been mentioned that talks about changing the mindset of eating while trying to lose weight. I can't remember the particulars about it. Does anyone remember what it's called?
I am struggling with eating to the point of feeling too stuffed and it's frustrating my weight loss efforts. It's definitely mental because I can feel it. It's not really binging, but definitely overeating emotionally. Trying to find balance and vaguely remembered this book mentioned that talked about mindset and food. Anyone know what it is?????
TIA

I can't help on the name of the book, but I would think that you need to focus on addressing the triggers and root causes of emotional distress that leads to emotional eating. I would guess it's a different focus than changing food-related mindset as that won't address the underlying factors.0

Have you googled it? I did and found a lot of books on this topic.0

The Beck Diet Solution?
I don't know if that's the one you're referring to, but it was helpful to me.2 -

It does not sound like you need a book.. you already know you have emotional eating habits and now you just need to pin down the trigger that is causing you to turn to abusing food.0 -
Changing your mindset around food and eating is crucial to losing weight and more so to keeping it off. There are lots of books on that subject. I was also thinking specifically about The Beck Diet Solution (I haven't read it yet). And I agree you have an advantage as you already know a lot about your triggers.
I'd also like to recommend "Brain over binge" by Kathryn Hansen, "Easyweigh to lose weight" by Allen Carr, and checking out What is Normal Eating?, Eating Less with Gillian Riley and Isabel Foxen Duke's blog.1 -

I think it might have been Brain Over Binge I was thinking of but I will look at these others also. Thanks!
edited: nope. Wasn't brain over binge. But The Beck Solution looks pretty close.0 -
