How consistent is your daily caloric intake?

I just hit my one-year mark last week and did some calculating. I found that my intake was very inconsistent. I was only at my goal (give or take 25 calories) 70 days of the year. I was under my goal 100 days, over my goal 135 days, and didn't log 61 days (not logging generally meant I was over). I'm more than satisfied with my progress over that year!

It just made me wonder if y'all are way more consistent than I am or if it's fairly normal to be all over the place. So what does your intake look like? Do you hit your goal on most days, or is your intake more varied?

I don't know if it makes a difference that my goal was maintenance. I think it's important to include that because it means hitting my goal consistently was probably more important than it might be if I were trying to create a deficit. A varied deficit still results in loss. Variations on maintenance do not result in maintenance unless they even out exactly :)

Consistency doesn't necessarily mean accuracy, but being in the ballpark most of the time, enough to give you the results you want. Think "order of magnitude". Eating 1400-1800 OK. Eating 2800-3600 not OK.

Thanks! I'm not asking advice though! Just curious about other people's tendencies :)

From the last 90 days. I think I lowered my calorie goal sometime during that but I don't remember when.

You didn't ask about consistant activity level. My activity level has been much more inconsistant than my calorie intake.
I have maintained for a few months and am starting to lose again.
