Anyone know how accurate the steps calculator is ?

Not very, but close enough to be useful for our purposes. Don't get too hung up on the details! It's mostly useful as a way to track your trend toward a higher level of activity.1

Be careful not to add too many steps. You already got credit for some steps based on your activity level. A FitBit would do a comparison and give you credit for the difference.

What I would do is set my activity level in MFP to match activity outside of deliberate walks. Then log deliberate walks as exercise based on distance and speed. Example: If a 1 mile walk took 20 minutes.....then you walked 3 miles per hour.
