Hi everyone,
I'm a vegetarian and I'm trying to gain weight by gaining lean muscle and reducing my body fat percentage.
I'm looking for other vegatarians or vegans on the same journey who would like to chat and support each other.
Say hi if your interested it would be really nice to hear from you.
Ollie.

<-- not a vegetarian.
While you can make small muscle gains, it's unlikely to cut a lot of fat and gain muscle at the same time. You generally have to do one or the other.
Are you following a structured lifting program like one of these. How are your protein levels? Generally, you should be around 1g per lb of lean body mass (~.8g per lb).0 -
There are plenty of veg and vegans around. You might have pretty good luck making the connections that you want if you look in the groups area.
These are the two most active plant based groups that I've found 'round these parts.

First you have to get rid of the notion of gaining "lean muscle". There is no such thing as fat muscle, there is muscle and there is fat. In order to gain muscle, you must eat at a slight surplus and lift. You will more then likely gain a little fat as well (depending on the surplus and training) which you can lose when you follow the bulk with a cut (eating at a slight deficit with adequate protein while continuing to lift).0

I'm a vegetarian who lost 17 pounds of fat and gained almost 5 pounds of muscle over a year. Just throwing that out there to let you know that it is possible to reduce your body fat and gain muscle.0

May I ask how it was measured?0 -

Over a given time span of course it is possible.. that doesn't necessarily mean you were gaining weight and losing weight simultaneously though.0
