snack idea

i came up with the best snack idea. i love mint chocolate chip desserts/ice cream.
i mixed walnuts with dark chocolate chips in a bowl, like a trail mix. then i brewed a hot cup of peppermint herbal tea. ate a bite of the nut/chip mixture then drank some of the tea. DELICIOUS, low cal, healthy, and very filling as a dessert.

    Sounds delicious, but I have to say it - the walnuts and chocolate chips are only low cal if the portion size is quite small. (I'm sure you know that, but it may not be obvious to others who don't regularly consume those foods since starting on the path toward lower weight).

    I eat walnuts and a good quality dark chocolate. Both are excellent sources of monounsaturated fatty acids. I limit them to make sure they fit into my daily goals. A food scale is a wonderful thing.
