Does anyone know If it's true that someone with thyroid issues shouldn't eat dark green leafy vegetables? I read this somewhere recently.

Much to do about nothing. Media hype.

vegetables can block the thyroid's ability to absorb iodine, but one can be selective about the amount of veggies they eat at one time and supposedly cooking them and not eating the raw.
I have low t4 and still eat vegatables.0 -
I have hypo and that does not stop me from eating 2-3lbs of vegetables a day....and that's not an exaggeration either....0

Consider speaking to your doctor and pharmacist about it. You should be able to call and leave a message for your doctor or possibly schedule a phone appointment.0

From what I was told by my doctor, as long as you cook your cruciferous vegetables it's fine.1

Most dark leafy vegetables can interfere with the thyroid when eaten raw. When cooked they are fine.
If you wonder if they are problem for you I'd suggest asking your doctor.1
