I had this problem too so I spoke to my instructor who does the LesMills CXWORX class, I just asked her how I embrace it and she described it as sucking in your stomach muscles but pushing out at the same time and I must admit it is hard to keep it during my workouts...

I'm all up for any other advice haha!

The easiest way I've seen it described is - tense your muscles as if someone is going to hit you in the stomach. I think that just about covers it

    Squeeze your butt cheeks together.

If you've ever had to help someone push a car, you automatically do it, deep breath and brace midsection before you push. For some reason we do it instinctively correctly, but forget when in a gym.

Yep. Core is not just abs.

Suck your belly in & tuck your pelvis under slightly. Imagine that you're trying to engage a rubber band between your lower ribs & pelvis bones. But make sure you're still breathing!

It's hard to hold your pelvis for an entire workout class, especially if your core isn't very strong. Just engage it whenever you think about it in class & the more you work it, the stronger you'll get. Planks are also awesome (maybe do one right before class to get the feeling & "wake up" the core) as long as you're stitching in that belly & lifting up (aka correct form)
