Choose one...
a) scale is broken, or inconsistent use
b) severe oedema cardiovascular response due to heart disease
c) massive poop is waiting
d) magical weight gain6 -
Very unusual. Sodium will cause weight gain but rarely 4 kilos. However, it's possible depending on the amount of sodium.0

No, not from normal to normal plus dietary sodium, not unless it's massive renal issues which would show other signs. You'd think the OP would have drunk 4+ liters of water and not peed?1 -

A. Possible - scale might have been dropped or something
B. Hope not! Feel fine and have a 10k to run on Monday
C. Interesting. . I've been going twice a day recently (ibs) but feel like there's a poo baby hanging round my abdomen!
D. I'd rather have wingardium leviosa if I can choose my magic!0 -
Water retention from exercise, water retention from sodium, poop/pee, weight of food in stomach. When did you weigh yourself yesterday? Very last second before bed or a couple hours before? It can make a huge difference.0

Same time both days (in the morning before breakfast )0

Well then you have up to 24 hours of poop/pee, food and water retention in you.1 -
Perhaps the Soup Dragon joined you on the scales the second time round Tiny Clanger?

Gonna agree with the scale issue. 4kg is huge!0

If I move my scale a couple of inches my weight changes by several pounds because my bathroom floor is ever so slightly uneven. I have to make sure I put it in exactly the same place each time. Not sure if it's accurate, but it's at least consistent.2

Yeah same in our house, my dad did a great Clangers impression...0
