Weight normally fluctuates. Weigh yourself the same time each day under the same conditions, preferably after you've went to the restroom each morning.

Guys, she weighted herself, then took a poop and then she weighted again and was 2lbs more than before the poop. This is not what "normal weight fluctuation" means :) This is just your scales playing up.
My previous scales used to do that.

Yeah this, Thought that was obvious XD I dont think their playing up because it happens everytime. Drastic gain right after. Still not concerned just find it funny

how old are the batteries in your scale? mine will do weird things like that when they start getting low or too old.

What I have found with my scale is that holding something the second time you weigh yourself to clear the memory. My scale will spit out the old number if it is too close to the original if you weigh yourself twice without the scale resetting. So I hold something over a couple of pounds, get the higher reading, then reweigh myself.

Every scale I've ever had has done that. I don't understand it and so many people report it! I've learned to just.... not weigh a second time after pooping lol.

That is exactly what my old scales used to do. Word for word. Sometimes a little beating did the job too lol!

Lol... Are they on a flat surface? I realised the other day that where I put my scales isn't perfecty flat. Moved them a bit and lost 2lb.

I've also recently learned that storing them on their side can throw them off, which I've always done...

I also sometimes absent-mindedly down a load of water just before I weigh myself, or weigh myself, then need the loo 10 minutes later when I'm all dressed :/

Yeah my scales are fine, Same thing happens at other peoples house. Seems to happen to alot of people, The logic just makes me giggle because it makes absolutely no sense haha

Inaccuracy is the issue. Think about it, you're losing mass from your body when you go to the bathroom (unless you're eating or drinking while doing it). Where is the logic? If you're holding a phone book on the scale, then put it down and reweigh, you WILL weigh less.
I've stepped on a scale and weighed 4lbs over the day before, stepped off and re step back on and automatically the scale goes back down 4lbs. Then I weigh a 3rd time and take the number in between. In most cases, the 2nd weigh in will match the third.
    Next time use this;

Bathroom scales are hilariously inaccurate. That's why some manufacturers put in tweaks to minimize variations between weighings.

If you think about it though, 2 lbs is going to be about 1% of most people's weight. 1% accuracy/repeatability isn't too bad for most applications, especially for a cheap uncalibrated household implement.

    Um. Dare I say 'yes'?
There was a thread around here months ago where someone weighed before and after and weighed more after.
It happened to me, as well.
Waiting for the Men in Black to show.
Or, you know, my scale just sucks.

Definitely the scale and their inherent inaccuracies. There's no possible way you'd actually weigh 2 lbs more from one minute to the next without consuming anything or wearing something heavier.
