I have had one hell of year. I had deaths in the family, a breakup, and back surgery. Somewhere through this last year I failed and I gained a lot of weight.
I AM TRYING TO LOSE 70 POUNDS and I COULD USE AS MUCH SUPPORT AS I CAN GET. PLEASE ADD ME IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO DO THIS TOGETHER. Let's be winners of the sizes lost.

You didn't fail at keeping the weight off; rather, you succeeded at surviving a difficult year <3

You can do this! My advice is to break up your goal. "I want to lose 20 by the end of next month". It's not so intimidating that way. My goal was 90lbs which seemed impossible but by making smaller goals under that umbrella goal it's less discouraging. If I lose 10lbs, it feels better to say "I'm halfway there!" than tell myself I got 80lbs left. So far I've lost 62lbs in 5 months. It's better to give yourself frequent pats on the back. Also make other goals unrelated to pounds. When I first started exercising I could barely jog 3 minutes. So I aimed for 5 mins, then 8 mins and then 10 minutes. Now I'm up to a 15 minute jog pushing for 20 by mid June.

Also the most important tip: forgive yourself for a bad day! I once had a bad WEEK. If you beat yourself up it kills your motivation. Shame does NOT help. Forgive yourself and then make it a new goal to prove to yourself that you have what it takes to keep trying.

    Best of luck :)
