Logging in exercise & Fitbit tracker

So my Fitbit syncs to my MFP with steps whenever I'm walking and going about my day. I usually average anywhere 5-9k steps per day.

On the days I workout in gym (4x) do I log in exericse I did in addition to the steps in already doing in gym?

If you're doing stuff in the gym that isn't step-based, probably. For example if you walk on a treadmill your fitbit already captures that, but if you lift weights, it doesn't. You really don't get much in the way of calories for that but it can be nice to see what you've been doing, even motivating to have a record of your progression.

Gotcha. I do mostly combo of cardio strength, weights and rowing. So for weights and cardio strength, manually input? I really don't want to over estimate the calories burned if it's already taken in account.

I have the Charge. When I lift I start the activity tracker and stop it when I'm done. I try to walk around a little between reps to stay warm. It usually tracks me at about 75-125 calories for my strength session, depending on the exercises I am doing. I then upload this to Fitbit and MFP and start again when I get on the treadmill or elliptical and take a new reading after that. I hope that isn't too confusing.

I think this gives me a pretty accurate reading for the total workout. I have noticed that since I've started adding in the strength training that I'm burning more calories over the course of the day so I think it's working!
