Any thoughts? I have 'assumed' that drinking mineral water is on an even playing field as regular bottled water as far as being good for us. I am a Topo Chico nut and drink a lot of it. There are 15 mg of sodium and 2% calcium in a 12 oz bottle. In researching it today, there may be additional benefits to drinking mineral water......

    Keep in mind that we also have minerals in our tap water. You can contact your city for a report.
    This is not recent but the easiest I could find on my iPad

    If you want minerals, would you consider something like a One A Day Multivitamin?
    Vitamin = .04 each. A bottle of water $1.

    I am not interested in minerals. I was more sitting here thinking today that what if (for some crazy reason) mineral water was not as good for us as regular water and here I am drinking a ton of the stuff because I really enjoy it. Then I saw 'sodium' on the label and thought the worst, but it is not that much sodium.

    I was more looking for comments that I would never think to ask for that answer if there were any. I did like the idea of checking our local water contents. Austin is supposed to have pretty good tap water.

    As far as multivitamins, I heard that we pretty much pee it all out anyway, but that may be old information I remember reading years ago. I think if we (I) eat well, we pretty much get all we need out of the food we eat if we are eating well. Good comment though. Thank you.

    Re vitamins: we pee out the water soluble ones like C and B.
    The fat soluble ones like D, E, A, K -- they stick around.
    True about eating well.
