Hi all I'm new to mpf just started a week ago
I'm 30 years old mom of two ... Six months postpartum with some stubborn pounds to shed. I want to do a raw food and green juice cleanse for the next three months until end of August to lose 15 pounds . I also want to limit my carbs so won't be including too many fruits
It sounds like an impossible task to do on my own anyone would like to join me and help each other stay on track ?

There's no reason to do this if you're just trying to lose 15lbs. Eat 500 calories less than your TDEE and you should be fine. And it doesn't have to just be raw food and juice.

Please don't do something so unhealthy and unsustainable. The only cleansing you need is already done by your kidneys and liver. You can eat real food and lose the healthy way here by setting up your profile and sticking to the calories MFP gives you.1

Both of the above points! Take time to find out how many calories your body burns in a day (naturally and through exercise) and eat less than that number.

Nothing wrong with eating vegetables and green juice. I've done it and health wise, my blood work came back outstanding. The ladies in the office had there mouths hanging open wanting to know how I became so healthy. People that havent done it should not comment. They dont understaned the health benefits from juicing/eating fruits and vegetables only.. And it is quite sustainable.. Go for it dont listen to anyone. You can add me. I just might join you. I'm due/.3

I also haven't been on a diet of all chocolate donuts, so am I not qualified to speak about that either?
The fact of the matter is that, yes, there are benefits from eating fruits and vegetables. But that doesn't meant that you have to only eat them to lose weight or be healthy. I eat fruits, vegetables, meat, cake, (drink) beer, rice, pasta, etc and all of my blood work is outstanding. You really should read the link @MissusMoon posted0 -
I have done a juice cleanse it's totally healthy as long as you fresh organic fruits veggies and herbs. It feels so good the energy you get is amazing. I lost 40 pounds of replacing a meal with a fresh green juice. There are 2 great websites that I would recommend juiceforhealth.com and juicerecipes.com. raw foods is good too salads fruits are very healthy. And daily exercise is recommended. Hope that helps1

Thank you all
I'm planning to do juice of veggies and fruits, and will also include raw food like salads, nuts, superfoods, oils etc
I will allow myself other food when I eat out on date nights

I hope date night is every night.
Your diet sounds like a starvation diet for disordered thinking.
Veggies and fruits re great but you will not meet your dietary needs from three months of juicing. How do you plan to get sufficient protein during this period?
