how often to work each muscle group

How many times per week do you work each muscle group? For example, if I do arms on Monday, when should I do them again? I have been skipping two full days so for example I will do arms on Monday and Thursday. But I'm starting to feel like it's not frequent enough.

    I work each muscle group once a week.
    Legs
    Back
    Arms
    Shoulders
    Legs.
    I take two rest days, one always between back and arms day.
    I used to work out each muscle group twice, but had no gains. So it's my 6 week on this program and see some results. Also, I do abs after every workout. You need to figure out what works for you. Play with it and you will find the right one for you.

    It depends on my goal(s) and or work schedule.

    There are times I work my legs every day for at least a month to correct a form issue I want to address. Mostly this is done with 50-60% of my 1RM so it doesn't equate to strength gains directly, but with better form we can lift heavier.

    If you feel its not enough with your program, then either add another day with some volume and of course make sure you are progressive.

    Every 48 hours is ideal. This is why, if you are new, full body routines will provide the greatest bang for the buck.

    Also, if you arent currently, follow a structured plan that has been proven like NROL or StrongCurves
