How reliable is the burned calories shown on map my walk? How do I know how many calories do I burned after a walk? I have been doing 40 k a week. I walk at average pace of 10m/km or less

I really don't go by the calorie results on map my walk. You can use the results it gives as an average but I wouldn't depend on them as Bible verse.
Depending on your weight your metabolism your overall genetics how much you exert yourself the results will vary from person to person. Plus there are other factors on the path that you walk such as uphill downhill flat Terrain.
Personally I use the app more as an indicator of my distance walked and my time splits.

I used to use Mapmywalk and it gave almost double cals that my garmin gave me. I don't use it any more although I still use mapmyride and those cycle cals are far more accurate xx0

Personally use it but only give myself 50 cals per mile. I walk loads that works for me. You will need to find what sort of burn works for you. I use MMW to work out distances and timings rather than the burns which are always out0

I use mapmyfitness (use it for a lot of different workouts) and it gives me appx 100 calories a mile...0 -
I get about 100 calories per mile if I run, and that's a movement that burns probably a bit more than twice the calories of a walk.0

I've reached a point I trust no app for calorie burn!
Most studies show a lot lower than most apps, partly due to many apps showing gross calorie burns only, and not net. Per the study often cited in a Runners World article and by others as well:
Your Total Calorie Burn/Mile Your Net Calorie Burn/Mile
Running
.75 x your weight (in lbs.) .63 x your weight
Walking
.53 x your weight .30 x your weight
Adapted from "Energy Expenditure of Walking and Running," Medicine & Science in Sport & Exercise, Cameron et al, Dec. 2004.
Most other science based studies come up fairly close to these numbers for averages.

it's not just your weight tho that comes into play.
If I walk a 14 min mile I will burn more calories than if I walked a 20min mile...
btw the calculation gave me 80 calories an mile...pretty close to MMF.0 -
Any app/tracker is inclined to inflate the burn a little.
I find for me its around 80 cals for a fast walked mile i.e 9.30 mins per km (I'm 5ft 2/130lbs/46yrs)0
