A few weeks ago I posted a link on ways to drink more water throughout the day. I've been doing well on that and those tips really helped. Last night I put frozen berries into my ice cube tray and then the cubes into my water. It was delicious! Anyway what I want to know is how do you ladies get your water requirement for the day when it's TOM? Last week I felt like a bowling ball and when I drank a glass of water I felt miserable. Any suggestions?

I usually am very good about making sure I get my full amount of water in every day on a normal basis, but for the first few days of that TOM, I usually don't stress out about getting my water in completely for the very same reasons you mentioned.

I take Sprintec bc and that already makes me retain water, but when TOM comes.. I'm like a freaking blimpe and sometimes cannot get water down my throat without GAGGING! but this month i called my doc to ask him what i could do.. and he told me to take diurex (or a water pill) the 5-6 days before my period and during... It HELPED SO MUCH!! I felt like a normal person!!!! But I wouldn't do that without consulting a doc first..

I feel better when I drink more water on TOM so it's actually easier because I know it will help with my cramps and general feeling all over.

I guess I don't notice any aversion to water or excessive retention (above and beyond what's already going on) during TOM. I just drink it as I would any other time. As kcollins said, maybe you should ask your doctor for some tips? xo
