Erythritol? Sucralose

Hello! I picked up my energy drink this morning but I bought a new one because it said it was less sweet tasting. I used to buy Monster Absolute Zero. 0 cals, 0 sugar. I switched to Monster Ultra zero for taste and less carbonation but it was still a little too sweet. So I saw this one this morning; Monster Ultra Blue. It was advertised less sweet. As I opened it to drink it, I noticed under sugars it has erythritol 1g. I googled it and it said its a natural sweetener made from algae and something else. Can't remember off the top of my head but it said it was commonly paired with other sweeteners and flavored because it wasn't very sweet on its own. I'm reading the ingredient list and its pairs with sucralose which is obviously an artificial sweetener. Has any one heard anything about this erythritol? Not looking for personal opinions on my drink choice, just looking for information about this natural sweetener that isn't just a google search and Wikipedia pages. Thank you!!!
