Fitbit calorie adjustment

Options
This morning I walked 6 miles at our high school track, then I came home and pulled weeds for a couple of hours. After lunch I pruned trees for about an hour.
My Fitbit Charge shows 24,000 steps and 1,300 exercise calories. The steps seem about right but the exercise calories seem way excessive.
Your thoughts?

You need to share your height and weight.

I'm 5"8 and 147lbs, age 44. And I'd burn around the same number for 24,000 steps.

Sounds about right then. The only way to know for sure is to compare your calories in and out for 1 month minimum. If your weight loss is on track then you can trust your fitbit.

I was surprised at how many calories "general gardening" actually burns...

I burn on average 80-100 calories a mile walking...about 2k steps a mile...so yah that burn looks fine to me..net burn of course.
