Trying to change my life for good

Hi. I'm new. I have battled my weight off and on my whole life. Last year I suffered a leg injury and let my slow recovery frustrate me and used it as an excuse to give up taking care of myself. I have a long way to go to get back on track. I'm looking to lose about 50 pounds, but my doctor said even 20 would make a big difference to my health. I really want this to stick this time. I don't want to go through life either yo-yoing my weight or just plain overweight forever. I want to feel healthy. I'm making my mental health a priority for the first time in my life as well. I've found I can't take care of myself physically if I am not healthy mentally first. If anyone else has any experiences with this, inspirational words or encouragement I would really appreciate it.
