Quick healthy low fat breakfast ideas ??

I try to eat a breakfast most days as your told that's the best thing for you, I mainly eat either porridge cereal or toast with poached eggs. And occasionally nothing at all other than a cup of tea.
Would be good to hear what your chosen healthy breakfast is so iv got some more ideas

Nope - for health and/or weight loss meal timing is largely irrelevant (certainly within a day meal timing has no effect).
Also low Fat =/= "healthy".
When I eat breakfasts (not that often) it's usually eggs and bacon or just eggs but I'd say - if you don't enjoy breakfasts don't eat until later. if you like breakfasts, eat what you enjoy and ensure that it fits in with your calories and macros (Protein, Fat, Carbs) for the day.

Hi,
Occasional you have home made protein shake, Recipe for the same is
1. 1 cup Yogurt
2. 1 cup low fat Milk (Skimmed Milk) /Almond milk
3. 3-4 Tea Spoon of Oats (I use Quaker Oates)
4. 1 Banana / 4-5 Strawberries
5. 4 nos of Almonds (soaked in Water overnight)
6. 2-3 Dates
7. 1 Table spoon of Chia Seeds
8. If you want High, add 1 scoop of protein powder.
with this Shake you can start you day healthy and no need to have anything till lunch.

I think I was attempting to stick to a routine regarding my eating plan so if I ate breakfast and lunch then dinner I wouldn't ever be hungry and stave off any cravings for unhealthy snacks etc. But maybe it's better just to eat when your actually hungry?? I like the idea of a protein shake, that's something I don't usually have0

I think it comes down to what you are most likely to be compliant with and what is practical/realistic for your daily schedule.
So if for example, skipping breakfast means you get hungry mid-morning and you don't have the time or facilities for a controlled snack, then that is a problem that is probably best solved by having a breakfast (even if you're not hungry at that time). But, if you can prepare/pre-plan a mid morning snack that hits the spot and works with your diary you've saved some calories that you can have later that day.
I typically don't eat until noon, this means that I get more calories for my evening meal. That works for me: it's convenient and I don't tend to feel hungry in the morning but it's not for everyone and may not work for you.

Yeah I like the idea of saving those calories for dinner
I think one of my main reasons for trying to include breakfast meals was because I eat things like porridge oats or eggs etc, food stuffs I don't normally eat at lunch or dinner so I'm eating breakfast to include those foods in my diet. Not because I'm hungry in the morning I'm usually not peckish until midday either0 -
Low fat yogurt. I mix in dried unsweetened coconut, chia seeds and ground flax seed.
My latest favorite flavor is Dannon Light & Fit banana cream.2 -

Canny beat porridge, quick and so many flavours and toppings. And iv never thought of yoghurt for breakfast that would be good especially during the summer think il try that1

Go for it Kate, You have lot of variety now, keep breakfast recipe variation on so that you are not bore of routine.
Bring Flax Seeds, Chia Seeds, Cinnamon, Roasted Pumpkin seeds, Sunflower seeds into your regular diet.

Yeah I think variety is definitely the key. Once iv eaten all my porridge il be changing my breakfasts up, I have been adding a few of those seeds you mentioned, you find some of them in ryvita or in seeded breads but il buy them by the bag so I can sprinkle them til my hearts content lol1

I'm a big fan of oats, because it releases energy more gradually than almost anything else so I feel full for longer. Oatmeal or muesli, it works well for me.0
