Macros When Injured...?

Hey folks,
Question: What do you guys generally do with your macros when you have an injury?
I recently suffered a pretty significant shoulder injury (going to have it looked at this week) and am recovering from a knee re-injury. I am temped to increase protein (for recovery), reduce carbs since activity levels will drop and I find reducing carbs the easiest way to reduce overall calories and keep fat the same.
Good idea? Not necessary?
Would love some input.
Thanks!

That would be my knee-jerk recommendation but I have no research to back it up...0
