Calorie intake!!

Ive heard that you have to eat 1200 calories a day but i go way over that because it seems after i eat im still hungary... I need some advice and support.. Add me ill always accept a friend request ... Hope to here from you guys!!

1200 calories is the lowest amount this site and other health organizations will suggest for a woman. But it's not appropriate for all people and probably isn't required for you, depending on your stats.

Not if you entered your information correctly. Provided, of course, you don't have a particular medical condition that would make the basic algorithm not work correctly.
What are your stats? (age, height, weight, typical daily activity level) Inputting those into MFP or another Calorie estimator - again, provided no particular medical issues - should give you a pretty good ballpark figure on Calorie intake.3 -

How many calories a day did it give you? What are your stats (age, weight, height, activity levels)? What are your goals? Did you try the MFP suggestions and if so for how long? There are lots of people around who'd like to help but it's tough without more details.1 -

If you entered your stats into MFP TO LOSE weight and that number makes you gain (?).....then you may be counting inaccurately. Another possibility is you gained water weight one week. There is is going to be some normal fluctuation from time to time.
MFP wouldn't give you a calorie limit to gain weight....if you requested weight loss.
Double check your entries, because many in the food database are incorrect. Another possibility is weighing portions is going to be way more accurate than using measuring cups.

If you entered your info and goals correctly mfp will help you lose weight. Even if it doesn't appear possible. Obviously barring any medical issues that would make the algorithm not as accurate. It does work for most Ppl though.1

1200 is not a magical number that makes you lose weight. you lose weight by consuming fewer calories than you burn. that's why you enter your info and follow what the site tells you.0

I eat at least 1600 calories a day, I mean that's on the days I do absolutely nothing, but I'm plant based, high carb low fat On the days I move around a lot and work out, I can hit 2 500 cals easy and I still lose. It all goes with your activity level, you "diet". 1200 is absolutely not the magical number. Depending on what you do, you could eat a high calorie diet and still lose.1

You do not seem to be logging your food every day or your eating habits are a bit hit and miss. Perhaps you need to be eating more regulararly and more nutritious meals that might help with the hunger.
Also as other posters have said you need to give people more information regarding your height weight etc so they can advise you better.0 -
Do you think it could be just not knowing how to properly eat for 1200 calories a day? I find myself in this struggle. I joined yesterday, and based on what I've entered I am at 1200 calories a day too. As one who's NEVER logged everything that's gone into my mouth (36F, 121lbs, 5'0), I've quickly learned crash course style where a lot of empty carbs sit. Figuring I've always eaten relatively healthy and have been running 4-6 days a week, I couldn't understand why I've not been losing my quitting smoking weight! So here I am. And the lesson I'm getting from 1.5 days of tracking is there are ways to just change the categories where I'm consuming the most and just shifting it to other categories. Example - too much carbs, not enough protein. Well protein helps fill you up, as does water (which I severely lacked). I can see I'm going to be hungry again later today, and I'm almost maxed out before dinner. I think it's taking the time to really concentrate on what comes from where. I think, for myself anyway, after a little experimentation and struggle it will pan itself out but it will take a bit of time? How long have you been at this? Or - maybe if it is too much consider changing your weight loss goals to stretch out a little longer?

Being a really small petite female can be a struggle when it comes to weight loss. If your weight loss caloric maximum is around 1200 calories, you really should be a pretty close split between protein and carbs unless you're highly active. You get more bang for your buck out of protein when it comes to how much you can eat compaired to carbs and fats.0

@wilsoncl6 I'm going to try to put more protein in, it's such a learning curve - day 3 and still experimenting with carbs/protein/fat lol.
