A little about me

Hi MFPFitFam!
I'm Lyndsay, 27 from a wee town outside of Glasgow, Scotland. I live with my boyfriend and together we have a beautiful wee cat called Morrissey. I work as a Pharmacy Dispenser and go to College studying nursing.
2014, I was at my peak of physical fitness. I had a while to go until I was happy with the results, however I was working hard to achieve them. I then had chest pains and difficulty breathing and put it down to over training. After a visit to A&E I decided to take it easy. However, I took it a bit too easy and fell off the fitness wagon altogether. February 2015, I decided it was time to jump back on and started going back to the gym after 9 months off. I felt great. I met my partner and spending time with him was more important to me and my fitness took a backseat.
As the months went on, I started eating more (jokingly blame him as he's part Italian and I'd be a fool to not eat his cooking). Unhappy with the weight I was putting on, I decided to join a gym in my new town. It was going well, then a bout of depression hit. My heart was telling me to eat healthy and work out, but my brain was telling me I was too lazy and to just order a takeaway. At one point, I went a week straight of takeaways for dinner.
After a long chat with my love, I realised that the only way I will succeed in getting this Wright off, is to fight through the "I'm too tired excuses". Taking it slow this time around, I'm starting by walking more. Rather than using th bus stop outside my house, I would walk the 20 minute walk to the town centre and catch the bus from there.
I also decided to start counting calories and watching what I eat. Some days I lack motivation to eat healthily, but I do try to stay on top.
I love making new friends, so why not add me and we can share our journies together and motivate each other to our better selves.
