Getting a little discouraged

Have been dieting & working out for 3 months now and have lost about 14lb. I started at 188 now am at 174. I'm a female, 19 & 5'6". My end goal weight is 150, but right now I am aiming for a smaller goal of 160 because I know losing the weight between 160-150 will be a lot harder. I work out 5-6 days a week for about an hour and a half each time. My calorie goal right now is based on a loss of 2lb/week, although I am only losing about 1lb/week. Do you think it is time to lower my goal to 1.5lb/week? As I am losing weight I am noticing it is harder to stay at the 1510 cal/day (2lb/week), because I am so much hungrier all the time. If I change it to 1.5lb/week loss it will bump my calories to 1790 per day. I don't want to be losing weight any slower than I already am... just wondering if that is going to slow it down even more.
Sorry if that was confusing!!!

If you're losing 1 lb/wk, you probably don't really need to change anything. That said, if you want to try a smaller Caloric deficit, there's nothing wrong with it. Try it for a few weeks. See how you respond. If you don't like it, you can always drop back down.

Holy *kitten*! You're kicking so much assy. Keep up the great work. 1 pound a week (I know, it sounds slow) is pretty optimal so you're doing just about everything perfect based on that.

You're correct that the last few pounds take a bit more effort and yes, eating more will slow the weight loss. If you want to adjust your calories to gradually approach your final amount as you lose weight that's good too.

Hello, your post is not confusing but just a little off track. Losing weight doesn't work that easily (I wish it did), you will not lose 2 lbs per week consistently ever in a healthy way at your weight. With that said, don't stress yourself about because that really won't help. Do you measure yourself? There are a lot of things going on with your body during this process of losing weight and it will not always reflect on the scale. Depending on your workouts the weight goal may be off because of muscle weight so take some measurements and keep up the good work.
