I loved the movie, but like with all X-Men movies, I think it could have been better. It's hard to please someone that has been a long time X-Men fan as you can't really capture the feel of the comic completely on a TV screen. The scene with Quicksilver was probably the most hilarious part of any X-Men movie ever made. Very innovative filmaking.

I agree win Wilson. Very entertaining, and Quicksilver was hilarious as in last one. Some parts could better, but overall good (if you can ignore all the issues with time and who has met whom and when). Wayyyyyy better than Batman vs Superman or Captain America: Civil War (X-Men has always been my favorite of the comic book film genre, though... Well, used to like Batman a lot, too...)

    Love or hate? Love <3

Thinking about seeing it one rainy afternoon this week. Not a big comic book fan, just like 3D on the big screen. Anyone care to comment on the 3D effects?

Won't watch it. Gave up on Hollywood doing the X-Men justice in the first one where Bobby Drake is a teenage student in the school.

I watched it in 3D. I didn't really notice anything spectacular that stood out. I think I would have enjoyed it without the 3D effects.

Well, like with any movie made from a book source, there are going to be some changes. I do like the fact that the last X-Men movie allowed them to totally re-jigger the entire X-Men movie universe to now get it to comport more to the comic. The only thing I didn't like about it initially was who the had on the founding members of the X-Men at the end of the movie. But again, I had to remind myself that this is a completely new universe from any in the comics. So, it made more sense. Also, the Betsy Braddock, Psylocke timeline is thrown off. I also didn't like that they didn't really portray the full powers of Apocolypse in this movie, didn't really fully agree with how they explained how he got the powers he did (but I guess they had to go with that premise because of the storyline) and didn't mention or imply anything about the technology and knowledge he gained because of the Celestials and where the technology came from that allowed him to transfer his essence but I guess that's a lot for one movie.

Oh, I understand Hollywood is going to take some liberties here and there, but making Bobby Drake a kid when he was an original X-Man; replacing Gwen Stacy with Mary Jane and having her live during the fight with the Green Goblin; that's like making a movie about WWII and having Patton appear in it as a child waiting for his dad to come home.

It was ok. Loved Quicksilver, but wish they did more with Apocalypse. Also it's supposedly the last time Hugh Jackman will be in the X-men movies, so excited to see what they do next.

    I'm assuming SPOILER ALERT
that they'll have Mr. Sinister in the next one considering the after credits sequence. From what I saw, it's likely they'll replace Hugh Jackman with X-23 (female clone of Wolverine). That actually might be a good thing and they'd do well by introducing her in her own stand alone movie that feeds into the next X-Men movie.

I second that emotion. Great pick for the character.
