I need to know what the necessary ingredients might be.

I know I will be using sea salt but many recipes include sugar or honey - along with something acidic (lemon/lime).

Q: Do I need to use actual sugar/honey or can I just use my stevia?
Do I need something acidic too?

What do you mean by necessary? Stevia will not give you the energy (carbs) that sugar or honey will.

The necessary ingredients depending on the exact purpose you want it to serve. When I make an electrolyte beverage, I consider the sugar to be necessary because I want the carbohydrates they provide for my intense exercise. But if you don't want them, you can use stevia.

The acidity, as far as I know, is just for the taste. There is some vitamin C there too, but I don't think they serve an essential purpose while exercising.

I remember needing this when I needed a relatively long fast for a procedure. Epsom salts and baking soda. Tastes like hell's toilet water but it did the trick for me. Don't overdo it on the epsom salt or you will end up spending more time in the toilet than you bargained for.

Thank you for all your advice -

Yes - I am not wanting/needing the carbs from the sugar so that is why I want to use my Stevia
but just want to balance the sodium levels. So I will just make sure to use salts and put whatever flavoring in- that Epsom Salt/Baking Soda mixture would be so tasty lol
