Hi all,
I am new, so please bear with me.
I'm sure at some point you have all come to a plateau and know how frustrated it is. But i have no idea what to do to over come this and if anything it is disheartening :brokenheart: . Because i'm so busy and dont always find the time to go to the gym (but when i do , i manage around 40 mins cardio and then 20mins resistance/weights) i either go walking or do one of Jillian Michaels fitness DVD's or yoga DVD's as both have had such great results! I have noticed changes in my body as well as strength/endurance but recently i feel like i haven't lost anything at all...and i would share how much i have lost only I haven't weighed myself since i started Ripped in 30. I am now on week 4 day 2 ( yay ). I have noticed some of my clothes are a bit loose, and my friends have all told me i have lost a lot of weight since i finished university. I haven't drunk that much alcohol either... and during ripped in 30 have only drunk alcohol twice, but i try to avoid it!
I follow Jillian Michael's food plan in the sense of trying to maintain around 1200-1400 calories a day. I drink so much water, especially as it is hot, and as a result of the summer heat I dont feel as hungry, but will usually try and snack on cold fruit like water melon, or yoghurts and other fruits.
Im frustrated that i exercise, eat right and drink plenty of water and I personally feel like i haven't lost much at all. Of recent, i have started to feel a bit 'fat' and bloated, I'm not sure if thats as a result of my female nature, and that I am soon due to come on, (i do feel bloated just before my period and know there's a lot of weight fluctuation).
I just wanted help or some advice as to what i could do to overcome this annoying plataeu  I feel like i work so hard to lose weight, and maybe it isn't working at all even though i am doing all of this, I dont feel like my hard work is paying off

How do you know your in a plateau if you don't weigh your self daily or weekly. Stay consistent with your weigh ins to truly know if your reaching your plateau. There are many options on how to break a plateau but your inconsistency with the workouts may be your problem.0

I just went to go and weigh myself because after i made this post i was curious. I've actually gained MORE weight than when i started, and now i am super upset :brokenheart:  :sad:0

Your diary isn't public so I'll ask instead:
Are you tracking every thing you eat and all calorie-containing drinks, every single day?
Are you weighing (preferably) or measuring (not as good, but better than nothing) your portions?
Even one day off from logging a week can erase a solid deficit, depending on how much you consume. And if you're not weighing your portions, you are likely eating far more than you think too.
Don't get too down on any "gain" right now - perfectly normal to fluctuate as much as 5-7 pounds a month due to hormonal changes.0 -
Oh, I will have to look into making it public.
I usually personally keep a diary so to speak of what i eat. I drink coffee in the morning, green tea before bed, and water...mostly water throughout the day. I dont weigh my food, but sort of measure what i eat on smaller plates.
it's just very frustrating I can't tell if im retaining water or not :S,0 -

I would start by weighing/measuring everything you eat for a few weeks. If you still don't see any loss you'll need to readjust after that, but at least you'll have a better idea of what's going wrong.0 -
I had done 30 DS sticking to the same thing i'm doing now and seemed to have lost more weight then, but i'm not doing anything differently
please help0 -
Hang in there. You are doing great. Get on a scale. You may be past your plateau by now. Know we all hit those. You are not alone. I just had mine two weeks ago. It felt really good to come out of it and see a big #0
