Smaller thighs

I'm 5'10.5 and I put on 11 pounds recently so now I'm 141 pounds. Ive been exercising and trying to eat healthy so i think the weight gain is from getting taller.I know I'm not fat but I would LOVE if my thighs could be thinner. My thighs look bigger because I'm pretty small from my hips upwards. How long did it take you to lose 10 pounds? Can you recommend any exercises? Also how can I get a smaller waist? I haven't got a lot of fat around my waist but it would be nice for it to be a bit thinner in proportion to my hips.

I'm trying to get thinner thighs as well, so what I do is a lot of cardio (running especially works out your legs), but moves like squats and side leg lifts work well. What I do is lie on my side and lift the top leg up and down for a few minutes until it's exhausted and then do the same thing on the other side. Also I'll lie on my back and open and close my legs in a bent position which works the inner thighs a lot. For hips/waist, bending sideways really stretches your sides as works those muscles, especially if you use weights, and if you lie on your side and "crunch" sideways bringing your legs and shoulders towards each other, that works well too. Oh another good leg move I do is to lie on your back with one leg straight out on the floor and the other straight up in the air and you just rotate the leg in the air in big circles in both directions for a few minutes and then switch legs0

Think I'll be trying those suggestions as my thighs are particularly big. I actually have a pair of jeans that fit nice around the waist but my thighs are like bulging in them, its so frustrating. I have to buy a size bigger which I think makes me look even bigger than I actually am. Can't win.0

You can't spot reduce.

A. You can't spot reduce
B. Maybe you're just pear shaped/have big thighs. All body shapes are sexy and you should learn to love yours.
C. Considering you're recently gotten taller, how old are you really? Are you done growing? If you're still growing things like yur thighs getting bigger are normal.
D. You're at a healthy body weight (smack dab in the middle for your height even, ten pounds would move you down to low end/blahblahunderweight) Again I feel like waiting til you'e done growing would help you get a real idea of what you're supposed to be shaped like.0 -

'How long did it take you to lose 10 pounds?' I just hit this mark, and it took me a couple weeks-ish.
'Can you recommend any exercises' No exercises in particular but there's a girl on YouTube called Blogilates who focuses on toning (working on trouble areas, such as thighs). She has videos for practically every body part you would want to/need to lose weight on.

If you're saying that you gained weight because you grew in height, I'm assuming that means that you're a teenager.
If that's true, here's something else that is true:
One of the things that happens to young women, sometimes after their last growth spurt, is that your hips get wider. That's bone. There's nothing you can do about that.
Many, many women find that even at a healthy weight, their hips/thighs are proportionately larger than their waists. That's what "even" sizes in stores are supposed to reflect -- odd sizes are "juniors" and evens are "womens' because once your hips widen, you need more room for hips and thighs in comparison to your waist.0 -
If you are still growing taller it is most likely that you have lied about your age to create a profile.0

To be fair, while it's likely the OP is still a teenager, sometimes people still grow into their 20s. I did. Grew an inch at 21 after being the same height for 5 yrs. Weird.
OP, since you are at a healthy weight, still growing, and according to you do not have much extra fat around the areas you want to look smaller (waist), I would not try losing weight. Instead, look at building muscle in your upper body to make you more proportionate and stronger.0
