I purchased a Fitbit Charge HR and am confused re: the calorie in / calorie out. My BMR is 1398. Fitbit says I've burned 1724, I've eaten 2233 (yes, I ate a lot) and says I'm 719 over for the day. But if I subtract 1724 from 2234 it's 479. I'm sure we should be eating above our BMR, I'm
So confused ! Lol

It's saying your 719 over your estimated deficit calories.
So say you selected a 500 calorie deficit. Fitbit s estimating that by the end of the day you would have burned enough calories to have 1515 calories and be 500 calories under what you burned. By eating 2234 you are 719 calories over what you should have consumed.
Some examples for you:
Thurs Jun 2
2146 in - 2344 out
52 calories over my 250 deficit goal of 2094
Wed Jun 1
2268 in - 2455 out
63 calories over my 250 deficit goal of 2268
And then there is today
3,006 in - 2298 out so far (1 hr 30 mins till midnight)
815 calories over my 250 deficit goal of 2191 (here's hoping I can decrease the amount I'm over a bit more before midnight)0
