Am I the only one that found it weird that the OP started eating something out of the fridge that her spouse had brought home, without checking with the spouse about the item?

Yep. If it's in the fridge, it's fair game, unless there's a name on it.

Names don't count in marriage... unless it is MOM

According to the book.... Eat This Not That. The Cheese Cake Factory is the single worst resturante chain in the nation for folks trying to eat healthy. Portions are gigantic, and loaded with fat calories. Everything from there is suspect.

Totally my weakness...I hate myself later for eating it but it's so hard to stop at just one or two bites

Last night I had an Omaha steak cheese steak slice thawed out for my snack. Then my wife after being sick for a couple of days said she was finally hungry so I gave her the cheese cake and I ate an apple. I do not know if I deserve a pat on the head or a kick in the butt. Maybe I have been counting cals too long:sad:

Uhm, just knowing that now ruins any desire to splurge on that. I can't imagine how many calories I have consumed at the cheesecake factory. Glad you stopped yourself. Don't beat yourself up. Just get up and try to work it off!

He can drop a slice off at my house next time. Please?

I'll tell him to take it to you instead!

Thanks! I killed my leg workout today! Hopefully, that helped to burn some of the extra calories!

I would give you a pat on the back for having amazing willpower, that's what I struggle with the most.

It is! I could have easily polished off the entire thing in less than 2 mins! I'm surprised I was able to stop myself!

I can imagine, luckily I never eat there anymore.

Split it with him then go for a run/walk/hike/Zumba... you get the idea.

Exactly! Normally if we eat a desert in a restaurant it's at least split between my DH, daughter & I. But, I was so tempted to have it all to myself!

Yesterday after my workout my running partner and I had a TON of calories left and were thinking about splurging on some Dairy Queen Blizzards... That plan ended when I looked up the calories in my favorite one, the Georgia Mud Fudge. Coincidentally it has the most calories of any Blizzard on the menu and a large (which I confess I have eaten before) has 1,420 calories in it. A mini (it's TINY) has 420 calories. We decided not to go after that and made instant pudding instead.

We went Canoeing yesterday and decided to get blizzards after as a reward for our excersize......all I can say is it's good I looked it up on the way there, because I was going to get a small....as soon as I saw the calories, that quickly changed to getting a mini!

In my house if it is in the fridge, it is fair game. I never have to worry about my greek yogart or cottage cheese lol.

Same here! I never have to worry about anyone stealing my healthier foods lol!
  • OH MY.... but it must of tasted SO GOOD!!

Cheesecake may be bad for your waistline but (occasionally) it's good for your soul.........

It was sooooo good for my soul! I haven't had cheesecake in a really, really long time! I cherished every bite!

It's a community thing at our house too... But if you eat my cheesecake, you deserve EVERY LAST FREAKING calorie!

And I'd probably jiggle your thighs when I jumped into bed for good measure.

Funny image of you hastily sticking the cheesecake whopper back in fridge! Seriously, this is what I like about MFP. It is so easy to check nutritional info. I am getting to the place now where I am checking before and switching to improve overall nutrition and not just calories. But if you slip, it's good to just enjoy and move on.

Not at all. In my house if there's something you want that's not yours then ask if you can have it first. If you don't someone or everyone will pay. lol

Well everyone's different. But, in my house we all share & all food brought in is fair game.
