Hiya
Been dieting for a year almost now and managed to loose only 3 odd stone, it's so slow, but last month I've lost nothing in fact keep putting on a pound and then maybe next week loosing that pound etc so in effect not loosing! What happening? I eat so healthy and keep ro my calories each day, it's driving me nuts, I need to loose at least 2 stone by September so I can be offered an operation on my legs, so this should be an incentive, any advice to get thos weight moving off me and faster? Thanks

3 stone in a year is great! Don't downplay your success.
Here's a chart that has some helpful advice:

I cannot take caffeine whatsoever but thank you for advice x0 -

Are you serious? You just run around recommending people start popping pills as the first resort? Worst advice ever.8 -

What really helped me lose was keeping track of every single calorie and knowing how many calories to eat. When you set your calorie requirement, make sure you don't go too low. Some people try slashing calories like crazy and it does get you weight loss in the short term but ruins your weight loss efforts in the long term because your metabolism will decrease.
If you're not exercising yet, make sure to include both cardio and resistance training. Some people will only focus on cardio but you also need resistance or strength training to help your muscles burn more calories. hope this helps!0 -
losing weight is all about the calorie deficit and TIME. Even people who don't exercise can lose fat with the calorie deficit. Exercise is for lean body mass and health. Of course there is a little overlap between nutrition/exercise/health. We all benefit from just a little cardio and resistance training.
But fat loss, calorie deficit and TIME. If you haven't lost fat in say 6 weeks, definitely not a calorie deficit. You can't really speed it up. If you go too low on your deficit, then you binge and forget to log the food and it cancels out your deficit so you stay the same. Since your body does not have the magic cure for starvation, look closer at your food intake accuracy and give it TIME.2
