20+ lbs to loose, need advice

Hey guys,

Wanting to get around 13 St, im around 15St atm,

Need some motivation or advice on what I can do to slip little things in here and there to keep me going

I used to go running before work but I find it so hard to get out of bed, poor attitude I know.

What did you guys do to motivate yourselves?

    Hung a dress I had worn on my 40th birthday on the bedroom wall with a vow to wear it on my 60th. I saw it every morning when I woke and that kept me eating to my goal and exercising. :)

    Really though, you have to want it enough to stick with it. Exercise isn't necessary, but good for your health, keeping to your calorie goal is. Put your stats in MFP, and with only 28 lbs to lose, set a goal of 1 lbs a week. Go and buy a digitalfood scale weigh everything, in grams, that passes your lips. For liquids use measuring cups and spoons.

    If you really can't be bothered exercising at this point, just add extra movement into your daily life. Do squats as you wait for the microwave to beep, or do count down planks to the timer working in 5 sec increments. Every time you pass the stairs go up and down them. Lunge as you vacuum. Pace the living room while the commercials are on. Use stairs instead of elevators. Go for a stroll around the neighbourhood after dinner, it's good for the digestion. Just move more. Do yoga in bed in the morning. (there is a nice 5 min routine on YouTube)

    It is plain old fashioned determination that will get you to your goal.
