How long do you guys feel/see the effects of having a cheat meal? (As far as gaining weight/being bloated)

Cheat meals = the most horrendous idea I ever tried.
Waste of months and months of my life.

Bloated? Maybe a couple hours after eating. Weight might stay up for a day or two at the most. I don't believe I've ever gained weight after a single meal that wasn't lost a couple days later. I once went on vacay for 7 days, ate thousands and thousands of calories above my TDEE for the week. I got home and weighed in 10 pounds heavier; 2 days later I was back down that 10 pounds and after four days, I was down another 5. Obviously it doesn't work for the above poster, but it works for me.

It depends what you consider a cheat meal. To me, it's having something I usually wouldn't, like a takeaway or pizza, but still managing the portion size. For example, when ordering a curry, I used to get a Korma, pilau rice and peshwaari naan. I now have two chapatis and a potato and chickpea curry with perhaps another veg side.

If your idea is going all out and eating a large amount, then it's still doable but should be restricted to once every two weeks or so. But if you portion control it whilst still indulging, I don't see why you can't do it weekly (like I do, and still stay in my calories, give or take 100).

I don't cheat (I live it and log it) but if I do eat more than usual, the next day I am always more hungry.

I don't cheat. Yes, once in a while I overeat but, since I can eat anything, it is not cheating. On days that I do overeat, the effects are gone by morning (or later in the afternoon if I over drink ;) )
